Description Family Anacardiaceae Originating from Europe to China Brilliant, shining, and later smouldering colour that evolves through the season, adding strikingly rich hues and beautifully soft textures to planting schemes in any style. In early spring the leaves emerge in the palest bright lemon yellow flushed with pink, before mellowing to dark lime green, as the green flower spikes appear in summer, surrounded by pink fluffy filaments. Finally the leaves turn brilliant orange red and purple before falling in late autumn in a pyrotechnical fanfare. Undemanding, hardy and adaptable to any pruning style, in any soil and in pots, in full sun or light shade. Height and spread after 5 – 10 years 6m x 6m, if not pruned.
