Folk medicine in Europe also utilises the leaves to increase lactation in feeding mothers. Veterinary use of the leaves is as a feed for diary herds to increase milk production. Goats Rue is indigenous to the Mediterranean area and prefers deep, moist, well-drained soils in an open sunny position. Drought and frost sensitive.
